
Latrobe Festival of Arts
The Interact Club of Latrobe High School, supported by the Rotary Club of Latrobe and the Latrobe Council, are hosting the Latrobe Festival of Arts. The festival, an initiative of the Interact Club, will be take place from 18 to 20 September, at various locations in Latrobe. The festival aims to promote and celebrate the performing and visual arts talent in the Latrobe Municipality while fostering community engagement with the Arts.
The Festival will feature:
- Thursday 18 September: A fashion parade and pop-up shop featuring up cycled and recycled fashions and accessories modelled by our students and members of our community. Fashion and art working side-by-side to stem the tide of throw away fashion. Fashions from the catwalk and accompanying items will be for sale on the night.
- Friday 19 September: Our “Junior Showcase” will highlight the talent of local young people. It will feature a primary focussed matinee show, the evening we will feature the “Youth Showcase” focussing on 12 – 18 year olds. A variety of Primary and Youth Art will be exhibited.
- Saturday 20 September: Our “Community Arts Celebration” will be a highlighting our Artistic community members. It will have a relaxed vibe with a variety of performances and art to be viewed. Including the Latrobe Federal Band. There will be a variety of practical workshops and art exhibitions being held in various locations across the town.
The event will be run by volunteers from Latrobe High School’s Interact Club, Latrobe Rotary Club and Community members.
