A 42 year old from Tarleton near Devonport has been charged with murder, after the victim of an alleged assault at a Railton property died at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
It’s alleged authorities were called to a Railton home at 8.30am on Wednesday morning after reports a man had been assaulted – authorities confirming he died at the Royal Hobart Hospital on Thursday.
The 42 year old man was originally charged with committing an unlawful act intended to cause bodily harm – that charge upgraded to murder.

He fronted the Devonport Magistrates Court on Thursday night.
