MONDAY 11TH NOVEMBER

  • Ladies Probus Club of Devonport Inc. meetings - The Ladies Probus Club of Devonport is a non-service, non-fund raising club for retired women. This is a vibrant club which meets monthly with guest speakers, has regular social morning coffees and luncheons, has a walking group and includes a bus trip amongst its’ many outings. If you are looking to make new friends, Ladies Probus Club of Devonport with the motto of “Fun, Friendship and Fellowship in Retirement” is the club for you.   • Remembrance Day 1918-2019 - Join with the community of Devonport city and surrounds for Remembrance Day 2019, as we remember all personal who have served Australia, in this the 101st year since ww1 ended and the 99th year since the unknown soldiers were brought home to england from the battlefields of Ypres, Arras, Asine and the Somme, representing all those soldiers who did not make it home. The ceremony will be held at the DEVONPORT Cenotaph at 11am. you can purchase poppys at the cenotaph or the DEVONPORT RSL. All are then welcome back to the DEVONPORT RSL. A roast lunch will be available after the ceremony at the DEVONPORT RSL.  bookings are recommended, ring the DEVONPORT RSL to book a table. 3PM-6PM at the Devonport RSL Sub Branch Inc.

TUESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER

  • Get your tickets now for the International Men’s Day Luncheon. Join us for a luncheon of inspiration, motivation and a chuckle as we celebrate the efforts of Men in Devonport on International Men's Day. 12noon $30 includes a 2 course lunch 19th November.   • Lions Club of Mersey Devonport Christmas Raffle 2019 (12-Nov to 18 Dec)- Lions Club of Mersey Devonport Christmas Raffle 2019 $2 per ticket. All proceeds to Lions projects including the recent fires in NSW and QLD. 8 prizes worth of $2000. Tickets on sales at Coles and Kmart plus other locations in Devonport throughout Nov and Dec. WEDNESDAY 13TH NOVEMBER

  • North west Respite Carer Information Night - Children who live in out-of-home care, in foster and kinship homes, are children just like you once were and the children you know. And just like all the children around you, they deserve to have the best childhood possible, one where they can feel they belong and feel loved, where they can play, learn, develop and dream. These children need full time carers and also respite foster carers who can step into their lives and bring joy and fun. Respite foster carers provide extra community for a child or young person in care and also support to the full-time carer. This information session will introduce people to the need, the agencies involved, the process, and answer all their questions. 6-8PM at the Gateway Church Devonport.

THURSDAY 14TH NOVEMBER

  • Design Talk and Tour 2PM - Are you interested in studying Architecture & Design? Do you have an interest in good looking buildings? Want to hear from the best? If yes to any of the above then come along for a Design talk and tour with Professor Greg Nolan, Head of Discipline Architecture & Design (A&D), University of Tasmania. You will be given a tour of the new Paranaple Convention Centre and hear about whats on offer to study at A&D. You will also be treated to a talk by Jack Birrell, Director, Birrelli Architecture , who designed this stunning building. Hear how he got to where he is today and the process for imagining and designing the centre.

SUNDAY 17TH NOVEMBER

  • Introducing the Mt Roland Preservation Society Inc - Information Sharing Session and Afternoon Tea - Introducing the Mt Roland Preservation Society Inc. Mt Roland Preservation Society Inc. is a newly formed association whose aim is to preserve the integrity of the Mt Roland Regional Reserve and Conservation Area. We are holding an Information Sharing Session followed by an Afternoon Tea. This will be held at the Claude Road Hall, Claude Road, from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday November 17th.   • We invite and welcome all like-minded individuals, families and groups who are interested in preserving this beautiful and iconic mountain to come along and share with us.   • 'Out' in the Park for TASPRIDE - Get ‘Out’ for a great day and celebrate inclusion! Local organisation hosts day of music, food and activities to celebrate Tas Pride in the Northwest. Live music, service providers, face painting and foot massages are just some of the fun stuff on offer this year. This is the sixth year that ‘Out’ in the Park has taken place, and it has grown in popularity because of its relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
