Lorde to perform at ARIA Awards

Expect some Melodrama at this year's ARIA Awards as New Zealand star Lorde lines up to perform at the Australian music event.

The Kiwi star will join 'Kiwi' singer, Harry Styles, as one of the event's major international guests.

Grammy award winner Lorde achieved her second number one album this year with Melodrama, featuring the triple platinum single Green Light, four years after her massive debut record Pure Heroine.

The star power at this year's ARIAs will be high, with Styles also on the performer's line-up while in Australia for two sold-out shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Styles has just released the single Kiwi which has resulted in his fans throwing the fruit onstage during his performances in the UK, leading to a ban in Manchester after he slipped on stage in London.

Lorde and Styles will be joining a strong line-up of Australian performers including Sydney band Gang Of Youths, who have been nominated for the most awards on the night (eight), and fellow nominees Pnau, Peking Duk and Jessica Mauboy.

The ARIA Awards take place in Sydney on November 28.
