North West Coast Candlelight Vigil 2025

The North West Coast Candlelight Vigil will be held on Wednesday May 7th, from 6 to 6.30pm at the Gnomon Room on the Ulverstone Waterfront Precinct.

As part of Domestic Violence Prevention Month, National Family Violence Remembrance Day is the first Wednesday in May when Candlelight Vigils are held nationally to remember and honour those who have lost their lives to family violence.

A warm welcome is extended to any member of the public wishing to attend and show support for those affected by domestic violence.

Advocates for Change guest speakers will provide thoughtful and challenging messages.

Attendees are encouraged to wear purple, and candles will be available.

This is a joint community event – Zonta Devonport & Central Coast, Soroptimist Devonport, Engender Equality, Central Coast Council, the Police FV unit and other family violence-related organisations.
