The Great Aussie Sandcastle Competetion
Held annually on Australia Day at Bluff Beach Devonport, The Great Aussie Sandcastle Competition is back once again and ready for you to get creative in 2026!
Come along to this free, family event and create a sand sculpture of something that is recognisably Australian for your chance to win some prizes, have fun in the sun and enjoy a day with community!
2025 saw almost thirty teams and approximately 110 participants and 2026 looks forward to seeing just as many friendly faces.
COMPETITION DETAILS
- Registration open from 10:00am
- Building competition commencing 11:00am
- Building ending 2:00pm
- Prizes awarded 2:30pm
WHAT TO BRING
- Picnic or BBQ lunch
- Buckets, spades, shovels and tools
- Sunscreen, sun hat and sunglasses
- Water bottle and your creativity!
Held at Bluff Beach Devonport on Monday 26th January 2026. There will be hand sanitiser availble upon registration.
While this is a free event, there will be an area set up with an online link for any donations you would like to give towards the Make A Wish Foundation.
