Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman says rates have only risen by 10.3 per cent in three years, well below inflation of 15.7 per cent for the same period, reflecting sound financial management by the council.

Major expenditure items will include $15.25 million to start the new indoor sport stadium near the Devonport Oval and $10.36 million for stormwater and road improvements.
