East Devonport GP to re-open on April 1

The closed East Devonport Medical Centre is on schedule to re-open in early April as My Clinic Plus East Devonport.

The practice was forced to close earlier this month due to being unable to recruit GPs, leaving almost 6000 patients to find alternative primary health care.

However, the State Government, Devonport City Council and local stakeholders were able to attract a new provider, which also operates My Clinic Plus in Devonport, as well as the Devonport Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

Devonport Mayor Alison Jarman says the practice is on schedule to re-open in less than six weeks, thanks to some generous support from local businesses on the refurbishment.
