Fuel prices at all-year high

North-West are paying well over $2 a litre for petrol as process remain at the highest levels so far this year.

The current average price across Tasmania is 216.1 cents a litre for regular unleaded 91, compared to $1.85 a litre in January, according to the State Government’s Fuel Check Tas website and phone app.

Hobart still has the cheapest petrol in the state at 206.9 cents a litre in a few suburbs.

The best price on offer in Launceston at 209.9, which is also the cheapest available on the North-West Coast, both at Shell East Devonport and Shell Wivenhoe in Burnie.

Central Coast motorists will have to pay a bit more, with Ulverstone United the best at 213.9 cents a litre.

United Zeehan has the cheapest fuel on the West Coast, at 217.9
