Funding to help local ideas go global

Entrepreneurs in the Braddon Electorate are being encouraged to apply for funding of up to $ 5 million through the Federal Government’s Industry Growth Programme Future Made in Australia agenda.

Tasmanian Senator Anne Urquhart says the funding is available for innovative start-ups and high-growth small and medium businesses and manufacturers to commercialise their ideas.

Early stage commercialisation grants from $50,000 to $250,000 will help establish the commercial viability of an innovative process or service.

Commercialisation and growth grants between $100,000 and $5 million will help push ideas from prototyping through to market readiness.

Senator Urquhart says the grants will be coupled with specialist advice and mentoring.
