Mole Creek in Tasmania’s Central North has been the centre of a million dollar drugs haul from Tas Police searches yesterday (Wednesday).
A 43 year old local man, who was pulled over driving in Deloraine, was arrested over the MDMA and ‘ice’, along with charges related to 12 firearms also found in the raids.
Launceston Detective Inspector Craig Fox believes the drugs were bound for consumption in Tasmania.
“We’re alleging they were destined for the local market, this is a local investigation in northern Tasmania, the man involved has been known to us for quite some time and it is a long running investigation where we have executed on several other major targets in the north over the past 18 months.”
