An award-winning accommodation facility near Devonport is planning a $3 million expansion.
Owners of The Cove, situated below Don Heads on the Eastern end of the Lillico Straight near the Bass Highway, have lodged a development application with the Devonport City Council to build additional cabins and a function centre.
The venue opened in 2021 and has grown, with an already-approved restaurant nearing completion on the site.

The Cove won a gold medal in last year’s Tasmanian Tourism Awards, in the unique accommodation category.
If approved, the new cabins and function centre is expected to be operational within 12 months.
