Jobs study paints grim picture
As many as 21 disadvantaged Tasmanians are competing for each entry level job, according to a study of the jobs market.
Anglicare Australia's Jobs Availability Snapshot looks at job seekers who are disadvantaged by factors including age, disability or not finishing high school.
The study's found nationwide there are eight disadvantaged job seekers competing with each other for entry-level positions, that number balloons to 21 in Tasmania, the highest in the country.
Anglicare Australia says the situation is twice as bad as it was this time last year.
