Launceston yacht fire
A leaky stove sparked a fire that badly damaged a yacht and burned two others in Tasmania's north.
Just after 8pm on Sunday the Tasmania Fire Service rushed to the Tamar Yacht Club in Launceston, finding a yacht on dry land well alight.
Crews quickly moved the neighbouring boats and extinguished the blaze.
Fire service investigators confirmed the fire was caused by a leak from a stove being used in the yacht's galley.
The boat suffered about $90,000 damage. Two other nearby yachts received smoke and heat damage by the fire, the cost estimated at around $30,000 each.
