Jobless rate down
Tasmania's jobless rate has dipped slightly in the latest ABS data.
It is still the third worst trend rate in Australia, but at 6.1% for October, it has at least come down a small tick of 0.1%.
Made all the more positive when considering Australia's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 5.3%.
19,000 fewer jobs were created nationally compared to September and the participation rate fell, meaning lower confidence in job seekers to actually secure a position.
Those Tasmanians prepared to move interstate to find work will note that the ACT has a trend unemployment figure of just 3.3%.
