Fatal smash north of Hobart
A 54-year-old man is dead after a serious single-vehicle crash in southern Tasmania overnight.
A passing motorist found a crashed vehicle on Colebrook Road between Colebrook and Campania, alerting authorities just after midnight.
The white Hilux's sole occupant, a Mornington man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His vehicle had apparently drifted off the road and rolled after hitting a drainage ditch; initial findings indicate speed may have been a factor, but alcohol or drugs weren't involved.
The road was reduced to one lane as crash investigators examined the wreckage but reopened early on Monday.
