Martin Agatyn is a respected multi-award-winning journalist with almost 40 years’ experience in the Tasmanian media.
While Martin has covered everything from court cases to elections and council meetings, he also has a passion for sport, with many of his media awards coming in the sporting arena at both state and national level including football, basketball, motorsport and horse racing, just to name a few. He has received two ACRAs (Australian Commercial Radio Award) for best country sports presenter.
A Tasmanian-born West Coaster who has lived on the North-West for the almost 40 years, Martin also has an intimate knowledge of local and regional issues and a passion for Coastal sport.
His extensive network of contacts means he can access some of sport’s biggest names including AFL footballers, V8 Supercar drivers and Melbourne Cup jockeys while also keeping his fingers on the pulse of local sport.
