Devonport Country Club – Casual Retail Shop Assistants

Devonport Country Club, established on the 1 st January 2019 following the merger of The
Devonport Golf Club, Devonport Bowls and Croquet Club and Spreyton Bowls Club is located
at “Woodrising” in the City of Devonport, Northwest Tasmania. Overlooking the Mersey
Peninsula this new club, boasts an 18 Championship golf course, three bowling greens, two
croquet lawns and a state-of-the-art indoor bowling centre. With the vision of being the
“club of the future” and in excess of a thousand members, require the services of a
motivated, self-driven individuals to take up the position of casual retail assistants in the
clubs modern, attractive retail shop catering for Golf, Bowls and Croquet.


Reporting to the Retail Manager, the shop assistants will be assisting in promoting the brand
of the Devonport Country Club. Other duties will include assisting with administrative
functions for Bowls, Croquet and Golf.


Skills required, but not limited to:
 Good understanding of and experience in selling of sporting apparel.
 Computer literate with knowledge in Office 365, Xero and POS systems.
 Ability to communicate with customers
 Must be well presented.
 Good understanding of and experience in health and safety legislation and systems.
 Good communication skills.
 Knowledge of Golf, bowls or croquet would be an advantage.
